America is more socially and politically divided than at almost any point in history. While technology continues to improve our lives in countless ways, its explosive growth within all forms of media has blurred the lines separating truth from fiction, news from spin, and education from indoctrination, which impacts our mental health. The best way to stay informed while protecting our health is to develop media literacy, strengthen critical thinking, and regularly evaluate bias.
