I teach college-level composition, literature, journalism, and creative writing. I have also directed a university writing center, mentored graduate students, and conducted workshops on designing effective writing assignments.
I write all forms of nonfiction, including memoir, personal essay, journalism/research-based reporting, academic articles, and blog posts.
I started riding as a beginner in my 30s and have progressed to advanced jumping classes. I'm interested in all things horse-related: training, medical care, nutrition, behavior, and psychology. I'm particularly fascinated by equine-assisted education and therapy.
